European teams strongly tipped ahead of Club World Cup
The FIFA competition featuring 32 clubs gets underway next Friday in Florida with the final earmarked for 13 July.

For 32 of the biggest club sides in the world, a new tournament will take centre stage this month with the first ever expanded FIFA Club World Cup kicks off in Miami on June 14.
Some of the biggest names in club football from around the planet (Real Madrid, PSG, Boca Juniors, Al Hilal, Bayern Munich, Chelsea...) will converge on the United States with the final earmarked for July 13 in New Jersey with the competition also serving as a logistical acid test for FIFA with the 2026 World Cup just a year away.

Whilst the tournament has had its fair share of critics, FIFA have made the competition an attractive proposition for the 32 participating teams with a total of $1 billion as a total prize fund. This is without precedent in the world of soccer and FIFA is eager to ensure that teams take this summer’s expanded tournament seriously.

As things stand, Real Madrid are the number one favourites according to Oddschecker.com.

‘Los Blancos’ (4/1) are closely followed by PSG (5/1) in second place with Manchester City touted as third favourites.
The first non European team to feature in the Oddschecker listing is Brazilian side Flamengo (33/1) who are quoted as being ninth favourites.
Auckland City, Espérance de Tunis and Wydad Casablanca are all considered the rank outsiders with the New Zealanders ranked at 1000/1 to win the first 32 team Club World Cup title.
