Update:

Club América’s crisis deepened on Saturday, as the Liga MX team suffered a 3-0 defeat in a friendly against San Diego. At Snapdragon Stadium, the MLS club impressed with a confident performance that proved too much for a youthful América side.

Iloski at the double for San Diego

During the opening minutes, it was André Jardine’s team who controlled the game - but they failed to capitalize on their opportunities. By the 33rd minute, San Diego had hit their stride and took the lead with a goal by Milan Iloski, who appeared at the far post to tap the ball in.

In the second half, América made adjustments and pushed forward in search of an equalizer, but couldn’t find the net. In the 62nd minute, Iloski stunned América again, making it 2-0.

Ángel piles more misery on América

It seemed the match would end with a two-goal advantage for San Diego, but in the final moments, the hosts added a third to round off a comprehensive triumph. Tomás Ángel made no mistake with a pinpoint free-kick that arrowed into the top corner.
