Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman’s incredible new acquisition: “We are incredibly excited to embark on this new adventure together”
The Hollywood duo expand their business portfolio with a foray into the world of sailing.

Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman have become co-owners of the Australia SailGP team, which has been rebranded as the BONDS Flying Roos SailGP Team.
SailGP is a global championship where national teams race high-tech, 50-foot foiling catamarans. This venture marks Jackman’s first foray into sports ownership, while Reynolds is already a co-owner of other sports teams, including soccer side Wrexham AFC.
Since the Wrexham acquisition in November of 2020, it appears that Reynolds has been bitten by the sports bug. Apart from the Welsh soccer club (which he co-owns with Rob McElhenney), the pair also have a minority stake in Liga MX side Club Necaxa and are minority shareholders of La Equidad, a Colombian football team.

‘Setting sail’
“We’re incredibly excited to set sail together in this new adventure,” Jackman and Reynolds said in a statement.
“Hugh brings a deep love for and pride in his home country as well as being an avid fan of sailing.”
Their purchase comes just days after Oscar winner Anne Hathaway moved into sports ownership, joining a female-led consortium who acquired the Red Bull Italy SailGP Team.
The Flying Roos made their debut under their new ownership at the Mubadala New York Sail Grand Prix this weekend.
