Update:

When you think of top-tier NFL general managers, names like Brett Veach of the Kansas City Chiefs or Brandon Beane of the Buffalo Bills might immediately come to mind. But according to Sportsnaut’s latest rankings, the crown belongs to Howie Roseman, GM of the Philadelphia Eagles.

Roseman has been the architect behind one of the league’s most consistently elite rosters. The Eagles struck gold in the 2023 draft—landing four starters: Jalen Carter, Nolan Smith, Tyler Steen, and Kelee Ringo.

Howard “Howie” Roseman was born June 23, 1975, in Brooklyn and raised in Marlboro, New Jersey. After graduating from the University of Florida he landed an unpaid 2000 summer internship with the Philadelphia Eagles, where he dream journey in the NFL began.

He became director of football administration in 2003, vice president in 2006, then GM in 2010. Under his guidance, the Eagles have reached four Super Bowls and won two - Super Bowl LII in 2018 and LIX in 2025.

In the 2024 offseason, Roseman pulled off another masterstroke, securing two high-end rookies on cost-effective contracts (Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean) while also adding key veterans like C.J. Gardner‑Johnson, Saquon Barkley, and Zack Baun—all in pursuit of sustaining their Super Bowl window.

He has created a juggernaut that’s becoming a true dynasty. Roseman’s ability to balance youthful talent and savvy free-agent moves has built a championship-calibre machine that’s well positioned for long-term success.
