NFL analyst rips apart Steelers’ Aaron Rodgers signing: “This is the worst-case scenario”
One strong voice in the NFL broadcasting world has had their say on Rodgers’ move to the Steelers.

Former Pittsburgh Steelers safety and current analyst Ryan Clark has expressed strong reservations about Aaron Rodgers’ recent signing with the Pittsburgh Steelers, calling it a “worst-case scenario” for the fans.
Rodgers, at 41, agreed to a hugely lucrative, one-year contract with the Steelers, including $10 million guaranteed, following his release from the New York Jets.
While Rodgers’ credentials—four MVP awards and a Super Bowl MVP—are undeniable, Clark believes the move represents a short-term fix rather than a long-term solution for the Steelers.

Rodgers signing will keep Steelers ‘mired in mediocrity’
“This is the worst-case scenario for Pittsburgh Steelers fans,” Clark said in an appearance on SportsCenter. “It continues to keep you mired in mediocrity. Will this team be better? Have they gotten better in the quarterback room? Absolutely. Will they contend for that championship that Pittsburgh Steelers’ people, fans, and the organisation thinks is the standard? No, they won’t.”
“Five years from when both of these men retire, one of them will give the most motivational Hall of Fame speech we’ve ever heard,” Clark added. “Another will probably give the most interesting – and it won’t mean anything.”
“I’m not here to bash Aaron Rodgers,” Clark said as he bashed Aaron Rodgers. “I believe that Aaron Rodgers is an upgrade to Mason Rudolph. I even believe that Aaron Rodgers is a slight upgrade to what Russell Wilson was last year. Aaron Rodgers is no longer elite. Aaron Rodgers doesn’t walk into the building with the cache that says to the rest of the organisation, ‘this is our guy that’s gonna allow us to win a championship.’”
He didn’t stop: “You can get Aaron Rodgers so you can not stink. That’s it. Other than that, all of us are gonna watch the divisional round, the championship round and the Super Bowl together.”
